Fairy

So, is this the closest I'll get to moe girls in Buddyfight for now?

Fairy was not really a thing before when the only member of the archetype was Sylph (correction, tfw she's not a Fairy), but now we've gotten a lot of dedicated Fairy support to make the deck tick. Like Olympus, Fairy cards often have other archetypes attached (usually Hero or Wydar Sarkal) so they're best splashed around, but there's also enough dedicated Fairy support to base a majority of the deck around this archetype.

Like Heroes, Fairy is very weapons-based and play around having different weapons in your arsenal; unlike Heroes, Fairy is more focused drop zone support and grabbing advantages from that.

Star

Twinkle twinkle Legend Star, how I wonder what you are?
Are you broken? Are you lame?
Can you beat the meta game?
Twinkle twinkle Legend Star...

I'm kinda in love with Stars.

Without a single card with more than 2 crit, without a single Soulguard or draw engine, with just a single weapon, Stars can stand against the meta and practically wipe face. The first viable lockdown deck in the entire game. Rejoice, permissions players! Soon you'll be able to make everybody hate you again!

By the way, quick note, since all Star is also in Olympus as of now, all Olympus support will also work well with Stars. Which means Golden Lion of Nemea is basically a must.

Olympus

Well, Bushiroad finally went and made Olympus its very own archetype with the introduction of an Olympus-only card. I've moved everything Olympus related from Wydar Sarkal in the expectation that Bushiroad does not leave us hanging and do more for this archetype. In the meanwhile, much of what can be said for Wydar Sarkal applies to Olympus: you get plusses from calling Gorgon stuff and activating Double Attack and/or Penetrate.

Deck Profile - Entaku Kaigi (Outdated)

Knights of the Round Table, King Arthur
Take a moment to think about the Hero archetype in general. What outstanding attributes do they have? The ability to link attack for bonuses and the ability to switch between a variety of weapons stands out as their defining characteristics. They bear similarity to both Dungeon World with the link attack strategy and Dragon World with the weapon variety, but they also have Legend World's very interesting spell selection. In other words, you have to approach the Hero deck a bit differently as compared to other triple formation decks like Adventurers or Thunder Knights.

So what you see here will be my take on how I envision Heroes working the best. The playstyle is moderately aggressive with a lot of control and stall options. You need to be careful about committing hand to field, since you often want to stall for tempo and the right moment to strike. By alternating between periods of stall and bursts of field clear and damage, while rocking ability negate along the way, you can weave in and out of the battle and make efficient and meaningful trades to bring you closer to victory. The winning image is a difficult but well-calculated and well-planned siege.

Hero

Why did Bushiroad make a Hero archetype outside of a Hero World?

Heroes was the part of Legend World I was most excited for. I know they started with the knights of Arthurian lore, but just think of all the different heroes they could make from other myths and tales. Heracles. Sun Wukong. Susanoo. Mulan. Endless possibilities...but then I saw the art and I stopped caring. Gawain, what the hell happened to your face?

Hero as an archetype takes a bit after Adventurers from Dungeon World with link attack bonuses galore. However, what makes them different is a vastly different resource engine and spell selection. While Adventurers could tutor for days, Heroes rely heavily on a strong weapon lineup along with tons of gauge to pull off some ridiculous plays.

All hero decks MUST be sleeved with Saber sleeves.

Wydar Sarkal

Wydar Sarkal is...well, let's first deal with the looming elephant in the room. Wydar Sarkal? What kind of name is that? There's a bunch of weird theories about what the name could possibly mean. I personally just think that Bushiroad is trying to implicitly tell us that their game is going to keep growing and expanding like a wider circle.

...you can stop facepalming now.

The archetype has a variety of flexible cards that all can contribute something to your resources or advantage. Separately, they don't seem to powerful, but by combining various cards together, they can create a formidable beatdown that can outmaneuver different winning strategies. While the archetype is still limited and depends heavily on the Olympus series of Gorgon Sisters, there's no doubt that combined with the power of Legend World's impressive spell set, Wydar Sarkal is a force to be reckoned with.

Also, they're one of the first archetypes to not have a single triple-rare card.

Asgard

Asgard is by no means a complete archetype. The support is abysmal, the options are few and while the Norse theme is amazingly awesome, thematic coolness (ha) is all that they have going for it. And where's my Jörmungandr?

But expect some solid support in the future for one of the most intricate archetypes yet. Asgard involves playing the time game, using different abilities and spells to prolong the match and stall out a game. With their advantage-over-time engines and elaborate setup, Asgard moves slow but steady, buffeting the opponent like a long-winded blizzard. And when the clock hits zero, Asgard erupts with an explosive one-turn burst that all but wins the game.

The League of Arthur (Overview)

This is where legends are born.

Legend WorldLegend World is by far the most versatile world created, being able to draw from a vast pool of myths and legends to base their cards on. From Greek to Norse, Roman and more, Legend World's most appealing aspect is the fact that who knows what archetypes they may have in the future. Chinese? Japanese? Indian? The possibilities are endless - and exciting. I mean, they debuted with 3 archetypes, which is one more than every other world thus far. Besides the amazing diversity and variety, Legend World also sports incredible gauge engines that fuel their heavy spell lineup - costly but powerful. They also have amazing weapon choices that are able to adapt to any situation.

There are many archetypes of Legend World, including Wydar Sarkal, Heroes, Asgard, Olympus, Star, and Fairy.
