Trial Decks

I decided to separate the Trial Deck portion of the Budget article because it was getting too long, and this frees up room on that article to discuss more Budget options in the future.

Nothing else to say, so here's a picture.
Err, wrong kind of trial...

Trial Decks

I. Hate. Vanguard trial decks. They give you nothing but crap all around, with 1 copy of each staple in every deck. You need to buy at least 4 trial decks in order to build a semi-reasonable card lineup. Anyone who has built Daikaiser, Gancelot, Revengers, or Vowing, you know the pain.

As of Vanguard G and Stride and Generation Break and whatnot, Vanguard trial decks have gotten some massive improvements in the form of 2 Perfect Guards in each and multiple copies of key cards that are used in the tier builds. The only 1-of left now is the starter, and those are usually Forerunners too. Wow. Now Weiss Schwarz trial decks look worse than Vanguard ones, lol.

Buddyfight ones are still better though.

I strongly dislike Weiss Schwarz trial decks as well. Though not as downright stupid as Vanguard TD's, Weiss still has a 1-of for one of the better cards in the deck. Luckily, they do give 2 Level 3's per deck and lately they've been getting better, not just a gainer/defensive scry. The Re:Edit TD Level 3 of Yuzuru and Kanade is seriously good. You can buy 2 TD's and get a meh deck, non-competitive but perfectly fine for casual fun play.

love Buddyfight trial decks. They are amazingly built and balanced, often with 4-of staples and good support all around. How many Hysteric Spear did TD02 come with? 4. How many Divine Protection of Shalsana did TD04 come with? 4. You're getting all the staples, standard beaters, monsters with good effects, and the standard set of spells for a reasonable price. Best of all, it's actually playable. 1-2 TD's can go a long way. In some cases, getting a TD is even recommended since it's such a strong base for a competitive deck. TD03 leads directly into the Jackknife legion, TD04 can go straight to either Adventurer or Dungeon Enemy or mixed. There's even TD exclusive cards (that don't come at freaking 1 per deck) that are actually good.

Trial Deck Volume 1 is Dominant Dragons. This is a deck based of Gao Mikado's deck from the anime, with a huge catch. There's no Drum. Umm, what? He's only a rare, so I'm surprised Bushiroad didn't throw him in out of goodwill.

Decklist (* cards have 1 foil version):
  1. Gigant Sword Dragon (2)
  2. Jamadhar Dragon (4)
  3. Rising Flare Dragon (4) *
  4. Extreme Sword Dragon (3)
  5. Thousand Rapier Dragon (4)
  6. Bear-Trap Fang Dragon (4)
  7. Systemic Dagger Dragon (4)
  8. Bronze Shield Dragon (2)
  9. Dragonic Grimoire (4)
  10. Dragon Breath (2)
  11. Dragoenergy (4)
  12. Green Dragon Shield (4)
  13. Dragonblade, Dragobrave (3)
  14. Dragonblade, Dragofearless (3)
  15. Gargantua Punisher!! (3) *
  16. My Buddy! (1)
First thing to note about this deck is that Dragonic Grimoire, Dragoenergy, and Green Dragon Shield all come at 4 copies. Sweet. And then there's 3 Gargantua Punishers. That's ridiculous. The star of the deck is Rising Flare Dragon, a Size 2 with average stats and an on-call removal ability that pays 1-for-1. The removal is great, and he can be called to the center as a shield. Gigant is a terible Size 3, so be thankful he only comes at 2. Other notable cards would be the 4 Thousand Rapiers and 4 Jamadhar Dragon, both strong beaters.

You can take this deck and easily mold it into a Generic Armordragon beatdown deck. I would start by taking out Dragobrave and Gigant Sword (and My Buddy!, obviously) and adding in Drum Bunker Dragons to make it more authentically Gao's. While Death Sickle Dragon isn't rogue, Inferno Armor still is (somehow) and the BT03 Size 3's are all viable. Then add some Dragonic Thunder, Dragobreach, Blade Wing Dragon, and you're all set. Of course, ideally you'll want to drop $40 to get a playset of Blue Dragon Shield's but if you're just starting you can sorta kinda notreally skip this step.

Trial Deck Volume 2 is Savage Steel. This deck is based off the deck that Rouga Aragami plays in the anime, and is a lot closer to the source than Dominant Dragons. For starters, Cerberus is actually included. Yay.

Decklist (* cards have 1 foil version):
  1. Armorknight Black Drake (2)
  2. Armorknight Griffin (4)
  3. Armorknight Cerberus (4) *
  4. Armorknight Minotaur (2)
  5. Armorknight Ogre (4)
  6. Armoknight Hellhound (4)
  7. Armorknight Wizard (2)
  8. Armorknight Eagle (4)
  9. Crimson Slash (4)
  10. Survival Chance (3)
  11. Battle Aura Circle (4)
  12. Invigorating Breath (3)
  13. Hysteric Spear (4)
  14. Boulder Piercing Spear (3)
  15. Drill Bunker!! (3) *
  16. My Buddy!
F-f-four Cerberus? Whoa! And four Griffin, four Eagle, four Battle Aura Circle, four Hysteric Spear. Holy shit. If you want to play Danger World, here's your deck. Invigorating Breath is yet another staple included, and they don't even give you 4 which is perfect. Other notable cards are the Griffins and the Hellhounds, both of which are TD exclusives given at 4-count each. The only letdown of this deck is 4 Crimson Slash, and that's not even that bad. It's literally impossible to build Danger World without buying one of this TD. And you only need one, because everything you need is already in there.

To revamp this trial deck, start by removing the two Armorknight Black Drake. Ifrit is better, and Ifrit is cheap. Take out the four Crimson Slash and drop some of the Size 2's to make room for Armorknight Wall Lizard, an amazing Size 2, and 2-3 Armorknight Formation. You can add in Armorknight Tigers and Armorknight Gargoyles very easily as well. Drop either the Survival Chance or the Invigorating Breath for a few Battle Spirit Unites and then you're ready to go.

Trial Deck Volume 3 is Dragon Force. I wonder what play on word that's from. Anyways, this is Tasusku Ryuenji's deck from the anime, once again relatively on-point with the cards included.

Decklist (* cards have 1 foil version):
  1. Jackknife "Thunder Storm" (2)
  2. Jackknife "Dispersal" (2) *
  3. Gust Charging Dragon (4)
  4. Jackknife Dragon (4) *
  5. Hammer Mace Dragon (2)
  6. Zantetsunodachi Dragon (4)
  7. Grave Horn Dragon (4)
  8. Slashknife Dragon (3)
  9. Latale Shield Dragon (2)
  10. Bronze Shield Dragon (2)
  11. Jackknife Braveheart (2)
  12. Dragon Flame (3)
  13. Dragoenergy (2)
  14. Dragonic Charge (2)
  15. Green Dragon Shield (4)
  16. Dragonblade, Dragobrave (3)
  17. Dragonblade, Dragofearless (3)
  18. Dragonic Punisher (3) *
Four Jackknife Dragons. Wow. Two of each evolution. Wow. This deck gives you all the Jackknife support you need. 2 Bravehearts is perfect; since you -1 when you use it, you definitely shouldn't run it at 4. Vanilla-wise, this deck isn't as good and having Dragonic Punisher as opposed to Gargantua is less exciting, though it does fit Tasuku more. 2 Dragoenergy is also not ideal, but that's fine. You still get 4 shields. Most importantly, this deck comes with 2 guaranteed promos: 1 Tasuku version of Gargantua Punisher and 1 Green Dragon song, a.k.a. "best song". You might as well grab 2 of this deck so you can have 2 of each promo because the promos themselves are worth the money.

Since the remaining Jackknife evolutions are really not rogue options, you want to improve this deck by beefing up the beater lineup. Remove the bad beaters like Latale and Slashknife to add Thousand Rapier back. Bump Dragoenergy to 4 at the expense of Dragonic Charge. Remove Dragobrave for Dragobreach. If you can, drop the Dragon Flame for Dragobond. You can improve the Size 2 line-up a bit more, though since Jack is your star you don't really need too much in the Size 2 department. Replace Dragonic Punishers with Gargantua Punishers, and find a way to add in some Dragonic Grimoires.

Trial Deck Volume 4 is Braves Explosion. Not based on any particular anime character whatsoever, this deck instead features many of the main characters from the anime in their Dungeon World cards. Also known as the Ship TD for allowing Baku x Kuguru link attacks.

Decklist (* cards have 1 foil version):
  1. Silver Warrior, Quenzwei (2)
  2. Legendary Warrior, Gao (2) *
  3. Monk of Bread Deity, Prios (3)
  4. Craftsman, Baku (2)
  5. Dachs, Cobalt (4)
  6. Master Thief, Strohl Bird (3)
  7. Fledgling Warrior, Ocker Glaser (4)
  8. Sage, Kuguru (2)
  9. Mameshiba, Cobalt (3)
  10. Rolling Stone (2)
  11. Oracle of Tuval (2)
  12. Pillar of Fire (3)
  13. Dungeon Pit (2)
  14. Divine Protection of Shalsana (4)
  15. Mission Card "Form a Party!" (3) *
  16. Mission Card "Defeat Monsters!" (3)
  17. Conquering Blade, Demon Domination (3)
  18. Origin Blade, Enemy Breaker (2)
  19. Dead End Crush! (2) *
This deck is by far one of the best built Trial Decks I have ever seen Bushiroad release. I've heard of people topping at local tournaments with this TD before, it's outrageous. Four copies of the negate, 3 Form a Party (staple), 3 Defeat Monsters (staple), 3 Pillar of Fire (staple). Those spells I just mentioned are, in fact, TD-exclusive which makes this TD all the more valuable. But the real gold is Doge. DOGE. Doge 0 comes at 3 copies and Doge 1 at 4, which is simply awesome. You know a TD is good when hardly anybody looks at the Dragonic Grimoire clone. You can pick up as many of this TD as you want, the staples inside will always be valuable (there's always people looking to foil their Dungeon decks).

I like to take this deck and turn it into aggro-Adventurers, using Dead End Crush! as my main winning gambit. First, max out on Form a Party and Defeat Monsters, adding as many Nazaro Hot Spring as you can manage. These extras will replace Rolling Stone, Oracle of Tubal, and Dungeon Pit. Take out the vanilla weapon and replace it with Soma Sword, teching in a Dragonslayer. Addrick takes the place of Strohl Bird, and Brave, Drum replaces Prios. Max out on all Size 1 and 0 Doge as well as Pillar of Fire, and adjust the ratios as necessary (more Quenzwei, less Gao, etc.). Any Glory Seeker and Dancing Magician, Tetsuya you get is all extra icing.

Trial Deck Volume 5 is Ninja Onslaught. This is based off Zanya Kisaragi's deck, albeit with some really huge changes (since Zanya runs an almost all-foil deck in the anime). However, these changes are overall pretty decent. The highlight of the deck is definitely Secret Sword, Lethal Formation, which was an RR in Set 2.

Decklist (* cards have 1 foil version):
  1. Noble Ninja, Momochitanba (4) *
  2. Lethal Sword Ninja, Zantetsu (2)
  3. Wandering Ninja, Tobikato (4)
  4. Agent Ninja, Linzo (2)
  5. Tsukikage, Blademaster Mode (4) *
  6. Electro Ninja, Electric Teru (2)
  7. Stealth Ninja, Kirikakure Saizo (4)
  8. Accelerate Ninja, Hayate (4)
  9. Demon Way, Geppakugiri (3)
  10. Demon Way, Noroihikagami (3)
  11. Shooting Cross Knives, Right-hand (2)
  12. Ninja Arts, Steel Ball (3)
  13. Clear Serenity (1)
  14. Art of Item Blasting (2)
  15. Art of Body Replacement (4)
  16. Ninja Blade, Kurogachi (4)
  17. Secret Sword, Lethal Formation (1) *
  18. Secret Sword, Shooting Star (1)
  19. Secret Sword, Moon Fang (1)
People don't give this deck the respect it deserves. Sure, it may not be cohesive, but its got some great cards. Momochitanba especially is probably my favorite Size 3 in Katana World. His life gain is technically free and he sports some good stats, quality that Katana usually doesn't have. Linzo is ideal for any deck based around Secret Sword, and Electric Teru is simply a slightly weaker El Quixote clone. You get all the Katana spell staples, including one copy of Clear Serenity, which is pretty good alongside the Secret Swords.

This is a really hard deck to convert, but with Set 3 stuff you have a good chance. Take out all the bad Size 1's (Kirikakure, Blademaster) and replace them with Gokuens and Yoichi. Kashinkoji isn't very expensive and is better than Zantetsu. Get some Shinobi Scrolls if you're planning on removing the Demon Way spells, grabbing some Back-hands while you're at it. Goemon is probably better than Tobikato. Finally, you can upgrade your weapon and choose some tech spells to use - Half-kill, Poison Mist, Gojo Bridge, etc.

Trial Deck Volume 6 is Dark Pulse. While the deck is out in all its entirety, I actually don't want to go into detail because this deck introduces Purgatory Knights which are not fully supported yet. And all the other cards besides the PKnights are basically vanillas. So until we get some updates, don't expect this to be that detailed. Also, I have no idea who is supposed to have this deck in the anime.

Decklist (* cards have 1 foil version):
  1. Purgatory Knights, Malice Force Dragon (2) *
  2. There is Only Death, Dalleon (2)
  3. Black Dragon, Dividers (4)
  4. Death Ruler, Abriel (4) *
  5. Black Dragon, Tarandus (2)
  6. Purgatory Knights, Giant Scissor Dragon (4)
  7. Black Dragon, Death Gracia (4)
  8. Black Dragon, Decipiens (2)
  9. Purgatory Knights, Blackknife Dragon (3)
  10. Death Ruler, Alea (2)
  11. Death Damage (2)
  12. Sudden DEATH! (4)
  13. Vampire Fang (2)
  14. Black Revenger (2)
  15. Midnight Shadow (4)
  16. Death Claw, Grim Reaper (2)
  17. Black Sword, Heartbreaker (4)
  18. Demonic Strike Arts, Death Requiem (2) *
Good cards in this deck include the two Black Revengers, four Sudden DEATH!, and the Death Damage. Midnight Shadow at 4 is also useful. Monsters-wise, Alea is probably the best, lending itself to some very useful synergies with Spectral Strike. Other than that, the only barely notable card is probably Death Gracia, who has free Spectral Strike 1 as a Size 1. The weapons are meh, and the Impact, while cool and cheap, is pretty restrictive and hard to pull off. You're basically buying this deck for the spells.

There's a lot of ways to convert this deck, but it's important to realize that having both Sudden DEATH! and Death Damage puts this deck far above other Trial Decks in terms of efficiency. Banking on that, you can grab some cheap Death/Deep rares and covert it into a tanky-control build with stuff like Deathstorm, Soulbreaker, Death Counter, and more. Make sure you grab Evil Death Scythe to replace your weapon lineup. Your monsters in this deck are pretty bad besides Death Ruler, Alea, so feel free to choose whatever you want in replacement.

Trial Deck Volume 7 is Tomorrow Asmodai. What an awesome trial deck. For starters, it's the first Magic World Trial Deck, allowing players interested in this world to finally have a solid entry point. It's very faithful to Tetsuya's personal build from the anime (with the exception of RRR Asmodai and RR Diabolical Hardcore for obvious reasons) and offers some crazy good cards with the most legit alternate art ever. It's definitely worth grabbing several copies of this TD while you can.

Decklist (* cards have 1 foil version):
  1. Champion Wrestler, Asmodai (2) *
  2. Dance! Asmodai (4)
  3. Fallen Angel of Wrath, Beleth <Alt. Art> (3)
  4. Demon Realm Death Metal, Valefar (3)
  5. Let's Play! Asmodai (3) *
  6. Fallen Angel, Paimon (4)
  7. Demon Realm Warrior, Zepar (3)
  8. Event Producer Aym (4)
  9. Oops! <Alt. Art> (2)
  10. Key of Solomon, First Volume (3)
  11. Speed Summon (2)
  12. Nice One! <Alt. Art> (2)
  13. Solomon's Shield (4)
  14. Chillax! (3)
  15. I'm Wicked! (2)
  16. Gunrod, Bechstein (4)
  17. Asmodai Eternal Rolling Back-drop! (3) *
This deck is actually really, really solid. I mean, they give you so many staples. Four Solomon Shield was expected, but 3 Chillax! was not. Nice One! is a staple rare draw card which they throw in at 2. This card used to be $4 but now it's in the TD. And Key of Solomon, First Volume? $5 rare at the time of writing, now available in bundles of 3. You even get 4 of Bechstein, which is also a rare from the first set. And those are just the non-exclusive cards. TD-exclusives are even more impressive, as Dance! Asmodai is a functionally better Gusion and Champion Wrestler, Asmodai is debatably better than Rebel, Belial (but not by too much). I'm Wicked! is a really useful Set spell to have. The Impact, while good in an Asmodai-focused deck, is more for the lulz.

Buy two copies of the TD so you can max out on Nice Ones! and get 4-ofs for all your staple Asmodais. Run every Asmodai at max copies, including the Size 3 and Impact - this gives consistency to both your Size 1 healer and your Impact (which can count itself as a target). Trade out the 1-crit Size 1's for 2-crit Size 1's or at least Demon Realm Computer, Vassago. Add in a couple of Bestie! from BT05 to improve your advantage and switch Bechstein to Burning Fist if you can. Leave Oops! and I'm Wicked! at 2, but drop 1 Chillax! and 1 Key of Solomon, First Volume and drop Speed Summon entirely. Tweak the numbers around at the end and you're ready to go.

Hundred Trial Deck 1 is Crimson Fist. The numeration for these decks are "SD", despite there being no 'S' anywhere to be found in "Trial"...or any other relevant word for that matter. It's great to see that the new Buddyfight decks are continuing the trend of having good ratios, but the amount of 3-ofs is pretty annoying, meaning that you're either going to have to pick up multiple decks, find someone who has an extra, or just play 3-ofs in your deck which isn't ideal. Anyways, Crimson Fist sports support for the new Crimsons Armordragon legion, which is good.

Decklist (* cards have 1 foil version):
  1. First Crimson Chieftain, Greatest General (3) *
  2. Crimson Battler, Extreme Blow Dragon (3)
  3. Crimson Battler, Boosted Dragon (3)
  4. Crimson Battler, Grand Kick Dragon (4) *
  5. Crimson Battler, Spin Nail Dragon (3)
  6. Crimson Battler, Hammer Ball Dragon (4)
  7. Crimson Battler, Starting Dragon (4)
  8. Crimson Battler, Maintenance Kid (4)
  9. Dragonic Gate Breaker (4)
  10. Dragonic Directive (2)
  11. Primeval Dragon Shield (3)
  12. Dragonic Aura (3)
  13. Green Dragon Shield (2)
  14. Assail Sword, Dragoraptor (2)
  15. Battle Spirit Fist, Dragosoul (4)
  16. Crimson Soul Grenade!! (3) *
A lot of the cards in this deck is exclusive, so it's a very good deck to grab if you want to play Crimsons at any time. Greatest General, the Size 3 in the deck, is better than the RRR from the booster because you get +2 soul for only 2 gauge. Other important cards include Boosted Dragon, who is literally a free Halberd Dragon when you have a Fist Item equipped. Maintenance Kid is also important for life gain - these three are the main staples from the deck. Spell-wise, having only 2 Green Dragon Shield is terrible and Primeval Dragon Shield is a travesty...but Dragonic Aura is pretty good.

Don't buy more than one of this deck, you probably can manage without a playset of Boosted Dragon and everything else you don't need at 4 or already have it at 4. Start by kindly asking around for 2 Green Dragon Shields because those things are as common as grass. Replace all the bad spells with their respective upgrades, and get some of the better Fist weapons from H-BT01. Upgrade your monster choices to include the 3-crit Size 1 and Crimson Drum because that card is a RARE AND ITS BROKEN.

Hundred Trial Deck 2 is Radiant Force, the TD that has literally all of the staples for Hero World. You should never feel shy about purchasing another one of these, each Justice Will Prevail! is worth its weight in gold and where else are you supposed to get the negates? Plus the monsters are pretty well-rounded and useful. You get a bit of everything for starting in Hero World. Reminds me a bit of the Danger World TD back in the day.

Decklist (* cards have 1 foil version):
  1. Adventure Continent, Gunvellz (4) *
  2. Rescue Dragon, Crossbuster (4) *
  3. Eco-Hero, Solarpanelman (3)
  4. Heavy Trooper, Iron Saver (4)
  5. Radio Controlled Machine, Maxstorm (3)
  6. Stray Warrior, Vier (4)
  7. Cyber Police, Hyper Rescue (3)
  8. Draw Away the Lackeys! (2)
  9. There, I See It! (2)
  10. Justice Will Prevail! (4)
  11. It's About Time I Got Serious! (2)
  12. I've Seen Through Your Moves! (4)
  13. Launch! Buddy Police (3)
  14. I'm Still Alive! (2)
  15. Army Rifle, Line Thunder (4)
  16. Equation of Victory, Winning Formula! (3) *
Yeah, the staples are all here. Justice Will Prevail, I've Seen Through Your Moves, It's About Time...staple spell set, and you're basically set after 1 TD. Monster-wise, we get Solarpanelman who is insane, full of really cool combo potential with all the Counter spells in this world. Maxstorm is also good, 3-crit vanilla in a world with a spell negate is slightly disgusting. And finally, Gunvellz. What a winner card, 8000/2/8000 Double Attack is always good. I wish there was more ways to support it other than Justice Will Prevail but alas.

You actually do want 2 TDs so you can max out on Maxstorm and Solarpanelman, also It's About Time is better at 3-4 (you can sell your extras anyways). Take out the vanillas that don't really matter like Hyper Rescue and Iron Saver (you can keep two of the shiny Crossbuster for swag). Add playsets of Takuto, Rampage Sonic, and Lightning Chaser if you can. Drop the weapon and some of the bad spells like I'm Still Alive and Buddy Police for cheap but effective stuff like Banana and Or So The Dream I Had Went. You don't really need Hyper Energy in the vanilla beatdown deck. Finally, exchange Winning Formula for the Rampage Sonic Impact and you're ready to rumble.

H-TD01...wait, we're back with TD again? I'm so confused. Anyways, H-TD01 introduces the new Star Dragon World that Tasuku's run off to. The deck itself is not that great, the cards are pretty terrible and spell selection is only meh, but I think you still need to get two for a full playset of Proto Barrier. Which is disappointing, but you can make the best of it.

Decklist (* cards have 1 foil version):
  1. Comso Strada, Galaxies (2) *
  2. Demonblaze, Maxwell (2)
  3. Stardust, Globule (4)
  4. Rainbow Vision, Shadowscare (2)
  5. Child Star, Astrojet (4)
  6. Dragonarms, Cavalier (2) *
  7. Dragonarms, Vogel (2)
  8. The Crater, Basin (4)
  9. Dragonarms, Divisigator (2)
  10. Star Blast (4)
  11. Planet Memory (4)
  12. Speculight Ring (4)
  13. Shining Rain (3)
  14. Proto Barrier (2)
  15. Star Saber, Reflection (4)
  16. Photon Saber, Meteor (4)
  17. Photon Edge Universe! (2) *
Galaxies sucks, at least until you shove a Divisigator under its ass. Actually, Divisigator might as well be the hero of this deck since he can get a lot of monsters into relevant walling status with +2000 defense. Maxwell is Rising Flare clone which is a nice option to have, but it'd be great if he were 1000 defense higher so he could hit 7000 with Divisigator. Cavalier and Vogel are both pretty important, giving your monsters either Penetrate or Move (Penetrate is redundant on Galaxies though). As far as spells go, Shining Rain is pretty amazing and Reflection is a good weapon as far as those go.

To improve the deck, make sure you can focus around the Galaxies-Divisigator combo for maximum tanking efficiency, or a Maxwell-Vogel combo for maximum weapon investment. Since Dragoarms also count as monsters, you can more or less drop the extra vanillas that don't do anything since you don't really need the stats. I'm not sure how the pricing will be for the Star Dragon cards, but you should try to grab a playset of Earth Barrier. I don't know if Giant Star, Leitning is supposed to be that overstatted because if it is you might want to grab four copies. Finally, change out the Meteor weapon for any of the better ones in the set and replace Photon Edge Universe! with Radiant Punisher!!

Hundred Trial Deck 4 is Malicious Demons, a TD that comes packed with cards from every world and a brand spanking new flag. This is such a good buy, as practically every card in the deck either supports an archetype already out or improves the Hundred Demon specific deckbuild. I highly suggest getting 2, if not more.

Decklist (* cards have 1 foil version):
  1. Hundred Demons General, Gokumengaiou (4) *
  2. Poisonous Water Dragon, Zazamera (4)
  3. Evil Dragon, Gatara Orochi (2)
  4. Dark Dragon, Demochill (4)
  5. Thunder Summoner, Reiki (2)
  6. Corpse Spirit, Draogul (4)
  7. Living Mad Gazer (4)
  8. Ogre Size Dragon (4)
  9. Hundred Demons Sorcery, Tennomimakari (4)
  10. Hundred Demons Sorcery, Ryubokushihai (2)
  11. Hundred Demons' Tome of Judgement (3)
  12. Starved Yamigedo (3) *
  13. Hundred Demons Sorcery, Yamitagae (2) *
  14. Hungry Claw, Raiga (2)
  15. Fiendish Blade, Urahonekui (4)
  16. "Beast Mode", Hungry Claw War! (3)
Let's start with the cards that can be splashed. Demochill is a great 6000/2/8000 Wild Dragon that comes out for free, giving Wild Dragons a better midgame than before. Living Mad Gazer is an indefinitely reviving 3000/2/6000 wall in Dungeon Enemies. Ogre Size Dragon's Thunder Mine is fantastic. Tennomimakari is just a better Transflame. Ryubokushihai is just a better DragThunder. Tome of Judgement is a Grimoire clone for Katana. Starved Yamigedo gives Danger the most consistent gauge ramp ever. Both Raiga and Urahonekui can attack with monsters in the center. It gets better from there. Gokumengaiou is ridiculously undercosted in Hundred Demons decks. Gatara Orochi nukes for discount. Yamitagae is literally the best negate ever.

Making this deck better is pretty easy. Drop Reiki, Zazamera, and Raiga completely and go ham on the rest of the deck. Having lots of Size 1's makes both Demochill and Gatara Orochi great, and the Size 3 synergizes with Yamigedo, the weapon, and the Impact. If you want to add stuff from the boosters, I suggest you find replacements for Draogul and maybe Demochill if you'd like, but the decks already amazingly strong as-is. Oh, and find a better spell than Tennomimakari.

  1. Hey, Vanguard Trial decks have stopped sucking a little more now that they have PGs and 2-4 of everything now. Except your starter

Err, what? Maxwell has the same cost, same skill, same size...but has 1000 more Power, an extra Crit, and has built-in Soulguard for when you Crossnize. Its better than Rising Flare in every way.

OH RIGHT Rising Flare can't target 3's either.
      Don't mind me.

  4. I'm using 4 Maxwell 4 Leightning and 4 Galaxias as targets,
with 4-of Elgarcannon, Vogel, Cavalier, and Divisigator as the 'equips'

Giving 12:16 ratio, is it good enough? personally, I want to swap those Elgarcannon but nothing good came in mind..
